Six years ago today, finglobal.com opened its doors and set off on a journey which would change the lives of thousands of South Africans worldwide.

Their journey began with a dream – a dream to see to the needs of fellow countrymen who have left South African shores to pursue new lives abroad. For although emigration is undoubtedly an exciting and beneficial process, their brethren abroad had, until 12 February 2010, not had a financial confidant to empower them and see to their cross-border financial needs. It’s tough feeling neglected – even worse when the consequences of this neglect is the detriment of your livelihood.

But on this day, six years ago, all that changed.
