Christmas Eggnog recipe

Eggnog Ingredients

• 1 cup milk
• 1 vanilla pod, split
• 2 cinnamon sticks
• 1.25 ml ground nutmeg
• 2 cups vanilla custard
• 60 ml dark rum

How to make the Eggnog

• Place 1 cup (250 ml) milk, 1 split vanilla pod, 2 cinnamon sticks and ¼ tsp (1.25 ml) ground nutmeg in a saucepan and bring to a gentle simmer.
• Whisk in 2 cups (500 ml) vanilla custard and ¼ cup (60 ml) dark rum.
• Serve warm.
